About Me

My photo
Alicante, Spain
Hi. I live in Spain with my partner. I am retired and LOVE it. I love life here but I do miss my family back in the UK, two sons and three sisters and my Mum. Crafting is my life, I do something every single day. In the past it has helped me get through some bad times in my life. One such bad time was when my first grandson died aged just 14 months. He had been born 8 weeks prem but was very healthy and was growing into a beautiful, bonny boy. It was such a shock when the call came. A day never passes when I dont think of him. I am now Nanna again to grand daughter, Hollie, born July 2012, and Tess born March 2016. This is my younger son and his partner. I now have another Grandson, Noah, born Nov 2013 to my elder Son and they have a daughter, Aurora, born March 2015. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my makes. Please leave a comment so that I know you have visited me. xxxx

Hollies Hair Slide

Good Morning All

I was asked by a friend if I would show on my blog, the items I put on my Crafty Page on Facebook, as she doesn't do FB.
So, in future, I shall post on here, whatever I post on there.
But here is one item I have show in the past over there and as Hollie is arriving tonight, I thought it would be appropriate.

A hair slide I have made for her, featuring a pearl gem that I make.
I,m sure it will look lovely in her long curly hair, I shall show a pic next week.

I have created a page at the top of my blog to show all items that I have on my Facebook Group.
Also I just thought I would show you this Fabric Book.

It includes all the embellishments as seen.
I have added to the page at top of my blog.

Thanks for looking.

All ready for them arriving tonight, fans in bedrooms, travel cot up, paddling pool ready for Ricky to blow up, parasols ready, suncream bought but still need to buy swimming nappies.
I think it was the year before last that some visitors on the block had a small child and she pooped in the pool, we had to close the pool for 4 days while the pool man treated it with chemicals etc.
So annoying so will not let that happen by my lot.

  2. Lovely Wendy. Bet you're so excited. Glad you're buying pool nappies as last year our pool was closed twice because of kids pooping. Very annoying.
See you at Craft Club later.

  12. Hi Wendy
Thank you for sharing all your creations. This clip is stunning and I bet you had one happy little girl.
The pool story bought back memories of our local swimming baths when I was a kid. We had to evacuate the pool as there was a poop, but not a child's one ......... ewwww!
    On that note, Happy Sunday!
